Wild forward Boogaard suspended again

03/06/2010 - Toronto, ON (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Wild forward Derek Boogaard was suspended for two games on Saturday by the National Hockey League for an incident during Minnesota's game against Edmonton on Friday.

In the first period of Friday's contest, Boogaard was whistled for a kneeing minor when he collided with Ryan Jones.

Previously, on February 28, Boogaard was suspended for five games without pay for an elbow to the head of Calgary's Brandon Prust.

This makes Boogaard a repeat offender, and he will now forfeit more than $20,000 in salary -- that money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

Boogaard is eligible to return to the lineup on March 11 against Detroit.
